BETA IOTA OMEGA CHAPTER ASCEND PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Beta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® invites ninth through twelfth grade boys and girls to apply for the 2017-2018 BIO ASCEND Program. The free ASCEND℠ workshops will be held with students monthly.
ASCEND℠ focuses on the following key areas:
Applications, recommendations and transcripts are currently being accepted for the September 2017- June 2018 BIO ASCEND℠ program. The application packets should be received by September 12, 2017. The BIO ASCEND℠ Open House/Workshop is September 26th at 6-7:30PM at North Carolina A&T State University, Webb Hall Room 208. We welcome parents/guardians to attend the Open House/Workshop or they can pick up their student at the conclusion. Refreshments will be provided.
Students in the ASCEND℠ program have an opportunity to receive academic enrichment and life skills training to support their journey to college or vocational employment.
The complete ASCEND℠ application packet includes the following:
1) The ASCEND℠ application;
2) GPA verification (a copy of last transcript); and
3) Letter of reference from a teacher, counselor, or school administrator. (Emailed letters are accepted)
