This target will focus on Alpha Kappa Alpha's signature youth program ASCEND (Achievement, Self-Awareness. Communication, Engagement, Networking, and Developmental Skills). This program is designed to motivate, engage, and assist high school students to reach their maximum potential. Students within the program will have the opportunity to receive academic enrichment and life skills training to support their journey to college or vocational employment.

AKA One Million Backpacks - We will be collecting, donating, and distributing backpacks and related school supplies to students over the next 4 years.

Think HBCU - This national campaign will highlight historically Black Colleges and universities and their contribution the sorority and society. Through education, engagement, and advocacy, HBCUs will be showcased as a critical venue for moving students to and through college.
